We’re proud to announce that following a competitive re-tender process, we’ve been chosen once again as the creative partner for City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP) for another three years. That’s right – three more years of ideas, impact and creativity with a purpose. Having already clocked up more than 1,125 creative days over the past six years, this isn’t just a contract renewal. It’s a celebration of a long-standing relationship built on shared values, a deep understanding of audiences, and a love of storytelling that puts real people at the heart of healthcare.

Creativity with care – our partnership with CHCP continues
From palliative care to school nursing, stroke rehabilitation to health visiting, CHCP provides vital services across Hull, the East Riding and beyond. As a co-owned, “for better profit” Community Interest Company, CHCP do things differently – and their commitment to compassion, excellence and expertise runs through everything they do.
“CHCP makes an incredible impact on our region, and the pride their people have in what they do is contagious,” said our MD Polly Sowden. “It’s a privilege to bring those values to life creatively.”

Campaigns that care
Over the years, our team has delivered an impressive range of creative work for CHCP – from standout recruitment campaigns to thoughtful internal comms and powerful brand storytelling. One of the most memorable? The Passionate About People campaign – a heartfelt celebration of CHCP’s people, featuring real-life stories from patients and staff. Not only did it give a major boost to recruitment, but it also helped elevate the organisation’s brand in a competitive healthcare market.
We’ve also supported CHCP with annual reports, film production, print and digital assets, award-winning entries and more – all while keeping creativity high and costs smart.
“Our team delivers creativity with rigour, always looking for the most effective, engaging and accessible approach,” said Paul Sowden, Co-owner and Managing Director. “We’re proud to continue supporting CHCP in delivering services that truly matter.”

Awards and applause
Outside of campaigns, we’ve also jumped at the chance to support CHCP’s work in the community. Last year, we were proud sponsors of the Older Adult Carer Award at the 2024 CHAMPS Awards, celebrating the unsung heroes delivering exceptional care in our region. It’s just one more example of how great comms and community impact go hand in hand.
“From award submissions to internal engagement, we have utter confidence that every penny of our budget is being spent wisely,” said Lucy Flower, CHCP’s Communications Manager. “The team at Sowdens knows our audience inside out – their creativity and understanding of our sector makes them a truly valuable partner.”

What’s next?
The next chapter in our partnership will see us working even more closely with CHCP on brand development, public health campaigns and content creation across film, digital and print. We’ll continue sharing the powerful stories of CHCP’s staff and patients, capturing the heart behind healthcare and showing just how much of a difference compassion, expertise and creative thinking can make.
“Seeing the impact of our work on real people’s lives – and helping CHCP share those stories – is something very special,” Polly added. “It’s why we do what we do.”
