We’re always on the look out for arts and cultural opportunities and on the lead up to the Hull 2017 announcement we saw an opportunity. To create a lasting legacy, in celebration of a campaign launch for one of the fastest broadband services in the UK, KC Lightstream, to an area that’s a hotbed of creative talent within the city.
Why not decorate the street exchange cabinets that littered the streets as public works of art with ‘what Hull means to you’? Linking perfectly with the people’s bid for the City of Culture.
A competition was created and within a two-week timeframe over 50 ideas were submitted.
Everything looked a picture and the resulting PR was attractive. We named them the #CultureCabs, which are now a fond part of the local landscape.
