Kick-starting our next 40 years as a successful marketing agency
Drum roll please!
Because we’re set to kick-start the latest chapter in our 40-year story… by heading back in time to the 1860s.
Before you ask, no, we haven’t invented time travel (although never say never). Our team are thrilled to announce that we’ve purchased a historic 18th-Century site in East Yorkshire, ready to be transformed into our very own custom-built creative hub that will be our home for the next 40 years and beyond.
Heading back in time, whilst looking to the future
We’ll be modernising and putting our own stamp on the 3,023 square foot development, which started life as a Victorian carriage house and stable – transforming it into a vibrant, innovative and dynamic space for our growing agency team, and creating the perfect environment for us to continue delivering stand-out marketing for clients both old and new.
The renovation is already well underway, and we can’t wait to share our brand-new headquarters with you. Once complete, it will house four individual office spaces, a meeting room, a communal kitchen area, and a large courtyard for outdoor working, socialising, and catching some rays (if we’re lucky).
We’ll be continuing to work remotely for now, but we’ve got all our fingers crossed that we’ll be able to move into our new home in the first quarter of 2021.
Our Director, Polly, is excited to introduce all our clients to the new creative space:

A dynamic marketing hub for our growing agency team
The move coincides with the growth of our team, and we’re excited to have some great new people joining us over the next few weeks – giving even more opportunities to build on our success, and drive exceptional marketing results across Yorkshire and beyond.
Sowdens’ Founder and Managing Director, Paul, an original 50s ad man, got a blast from the past when he first stepped onto the site:
“As soon I as I saw the building, it reminded me of a London mews from the swinging sixties. The site was originally constructed in the 1860s, but we’re really looking forward to bringing it bang up to date it for the 21st Century as a thriving hub for innovative, world-class marketing. It’s going to be very exciting… so watch this space!”
We’re proud to be partnered with another local independent firm for the project too, working alongside AEB Architecture and Design to make the move magic happen.
