Walk of Art – the next step

Hull’s Avenues exhibition returns for 2018

One of the success stories of Hull’s 2017 City of Culture year, Walk of Art is back for 2018 – and it’s going to be bigger and better!

Sowden + Sowden will again be sponsoring this important free art initiative, in which creatives based in Hull’s Avenues area will get the chance to showcase their work in residents’ homes, gardens and garages on Sunday, 9 September, from 11am until 5pm.

Last year’s event was a huge success, with hundreds of people from around the UK strolling around the Avenues to explore the work of more than 30 artists, craftspeople, sculptors, photographers and writers.

Bigger and better

The year’s event will be even bigger and better – over 40 HU5 creatives will be displaying their work at 25 locations around the four Avenues, Richmond Street and Salisbury Street.

Paul Sowden, Managing Director of Sowden and Sowden, said: “The creative talent and amazing variety of work we saw displayed on last year’s Walk of Art was truly inspiring. We believe it’s really important to support local initiatives and hope the public get behind the event again.”
