Sowden’s illuminate the future for Brid Sixth Formers

Young people in Bridlington are being encouraged to ignite their ambition through Bridlington School & Sports College, thanks to a new campaign from Sowden & Sowden.

They have developed a creative new prospectus to showcase the excellent education and support on offer and encourage young people to join the Sixth Form.

The concept is centred around the school’s logo, which has been brought into the 21st century to make it relevant to students today. The motto, taken from the Latin ‘Vitai Lampada Tradunt’ by Roman poet and philosopher Lucretius, translates to ‘they hand on the torch of life’ – meaning that Bridlington School will guide students on the pathway to their future and light up their opportunities.

Polly Sowden, Director and Partner at Sowden & Sowden, commented:

“The school has a rich and proud history dating back to 1898 when it was founded, so we wanted to use this as the basis of the marketing campaign, but refresh it for students today. Our exciting and creative approach with the torch gave us the chance to create a shiny new prospectus that will hopefully light up the future for Bridlington students.”

Sarah Pashley, Headteacher, commented:

“It has been a breath of fresh air to work with the Sowden’s team. Their creativity and design is absolutely fantastic and the students involved have really enjoyed being part of this project and seeing themselves in print.”
