Sowden & Sowden celebrate 32 years at the top with a new website

Sowden & Sowden are today celebrating 32 years at the top with the launch of their new website. The father and daughter owned agency offers marketing solutions to a wide range of local, national and international clients, and are the masterminds behind the hugely popular Yum! Food Festival, Hull Fashion Week and Hull Folk Festival.

The agency was founded in 1982 by Paul Sowden, and is consequently one of East Yorkshire’s longest established marketing agencies. Daughter Polly Sowden joined the business 15 years later, making it a true family affair.

Paul and Polly, along with their team of over 10 members have since been busy channelling their innate creativity into many marketing campaigns designed to make their mark on the Hull community.

From a unique catwalk installation inside England’s largest parish church to KC’s artistic #CultureCabs project, Sowden & Sowden have been involved in many local creative initiatives.

On an international level, the team have been involved in a wide range of projects including providing a programme of fresh and innovative interior design installations for one global client to travelling to direct filming of TV commercials in Milan, designing exhibitions in Nuremburg, London and the Far East to creating packaging for a Hong Kong based client.

In addition to local, national and international clientele, the company helps to support various charities including the set up and managing of the Club COSMO Foundation, which has recently reached their first £10,000 milestone.

Sowden & Sowden are also currently helping to support The New Adelphi Club and its 30 years as a culturally significant underground live music venue based in the city. The agency will support the venue in marketing and delivering a weeklong plethora of events from the 29 September to 5 October #Adelphi30.

Director, Polly Sowden, commented: “It’s an exciting time at Sowdens. We’ve been helping to promote our great city for over three decades and we’re looking forward to helping put Hull firmly on the map ahead of 2017 with a mix of initiatives to inspire both community and business.”

Amidst the action, Sowden & Sowden have been busy preparing a showcase of their work, available on the new website. As part of the celebrations, Sowden & Sowden have been busy developing their brand at their office location at Hesslewood Country Office Park. They have also expanded their team of digital specialists and pr experts, with the addition of two new members of staff; Digital Manager Sam Mearns and PR Account Manager, Emily Corfield.
