Social media success launches new client

With a reach of over 14,000 people in its first week, our new Facebook page for a small local business has had a huge impact on footfall.

With just one week to launch the new bar, located on Newland Avenue, our tactic was to saturate social media with mainly organic content, backed up with some paid for advertising to reach our key target audiences. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, supported by influential PR, helped to drive people through the doors on the first day.

We secured a page 3 lead in the Hull Daily Mail ahead of the opening and a prime interview slot with BBC Radio Humberside on Burnsy’s mid-morning show. Our personalised gift of beer maybe helped!

The People’s Republic aims to bring something new to the social scene of the city by offering world beer and world music, played on vinyl. It needed a social media presence to match.

Creative photography of the 70s décor, the bar taking shape and the first customers through the door helped engage over 9.4k people with our posts. Our most successful one gained an organic reach of 8.3k with 29 shares.
