Oh hey fresh faces! Welcoming Yas and Sam to the Sowdens’ team

They say a great team is the secret sauce to success – and at Sowdens, we couldn’t agree more. Whether we’re launching brands, planning shoots, or delivering killer digital campaigns, it’s our people who help bring the magic. 

So, we’re thrilled to officially welcome two brilliant new(ish) minds to the crew: Yasmin Brown, our new Paid Digital Manager, and Sam Tasker, who recently celebrated his first year as Senior Marketing Executive. Different backgrounds, different skills, but the same energy, passion and eye for what works. Oh, and they’re excellent humans too – so we’re winning.  

Let’s introduce them properly… 

Yas brings the power to our paid 

If paid media campaigns were a sport, Yasmin would win gold. With over eight years’ experience under her belt – including leading high-profile accounts at Green Ginger and Summit – she’s crafted digital campaigns for brands like Argos, Joules, and The Range. Now, she’s bringing that firepower to our digital offer at Sowdens. 

From TikTok to LinkedIn, Snapchat to Google, Yas is already making her mark – managing the setup, optimisation and reporting of our digital campaigns with sharp strategy and smarter insights. If you’re looking for results with real ROI, Yas is the one with her finger on the pulse (and the algorithm). 

In her words:

A year in, and Sam’s made his mark 

First off, sorry Sam – we know you should’ve been intro’ed sooner, but better late than never! 

Sam joined us last year from the world of in-house marketing at John Roe Group (Toyota and Lexus) – and let’s just say, he hit the ground running. He’s been an absolute all-rounder: crafting copy, shaping influencer strategies, diving into SEO, and managing events and campaigns like a seasoned pro. 

You might’ve spotted his handiwork on our own socials (he’s the genius behind those viral-worthy reels). Whether it’s spotting trends, pitching big ideas, or getting stuck into shoots, Sam brings a creative edge that’s hard to miss. 

In his words:

“The creative freedom here means no two days are the same – and that’s exactly how I like it.” 

Adding firepower to the fold 

Yas and Sam joined the agency during a serious growth spell – one that’s seen 10 new client wins and plenty of ongoing work growing in scope. We’ve also recently celebrated becoming a Google Partner and signed up as a Living Wage Employer, because looking after our people matters just as much as looking after our clients. 

And there’s more good news

We were recently rated STRONG in the latest Plimsoll report – a nod to our financial resilience, stability, and position as one of the UK’s leading creative agencies. And in the latest BenchPress report for £1M+ agencies, we ranked in the top 40% for key measures like profitability, team engagement, and remuneration. In a challenging market, that feels like a real win – proof that our people-first, performance-driven approach is working.
