It’s a week of firsts for us at Biz Week 2015

You’re invited to enjoy Hull based but internationally acclaimed jazz and Latin singer Lyn Acton with Dave Gawthorpe on guitar, Andy Swift on bass and Mark Knight on drums.

Together they play Bossa Nova classics and contemporary tunes with a funky, bossa feel, often described as Brazilian folk music.

6.30pm – 8.30pm, Fri 5 June, LYN ACTON & BOSSA REVISTA

For the first time in 11 years, we are hosting Biz Week’s first ever aftershow party at Kardomah94, Friday 5th June, 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

Come and join us for a fusion of Folk & Funk with Bossa Revista performing as we not only look to end the week on a high, but it’s also a chance for everyone to reflect and celebrate what is sure to have been another successful Humber Business Week.

I’m of the opinion that you can’t go too far wrong with Folk or Funk, so mix ‘em up and it’s bound to be a blast! Come along and relax, unwind and enjoy the night – it’s FREE ENTRY too.

Reserve your place by emailing andreat@heycf.co.uk – places are limited (200 max) so if you’re feeling folky and funky come on down. Free on-street parking after 6pm too.

To warm up, we’ve also got an event on Wednesday 3rd June we’re celebrating the success of the Humber Skills Support for the Workforce project at the University of Hull’s Brynmor Jones Library – the first time this venue has ever been turned into an event space.

With thanks to Kardomah94 for providing the venue for Biz Week’s first ever aftershow party.
