Inspiring Inclusion

This International Women’s Day is all about inspiring inclusion – an important message that we proudly support and foster within our agency.

Inclusion in the workplace is all about making everybody feel valued and providing a working environment where they feel comfortable and confident to be themselves. By giving all team members a voice, we garner unique viewpoints on all marketing projects.

This International Women’s Day, we’re taking a moment to look back and share the wisdom we’ve gained along the way. Each member of our team has a unique story to tell, shaped by their own experiences, challenges, and triumphs. By sharing advice to our younger selves, we’re not only celebrating our individual journeys but also embracing the diversity of perspectives that make us stronger as a team.

Guy – Work hard and be kind

Guy’s advice is simple yet impactful: “Work hard and be nice to people,” he echoes from Anthony Burrill. Success isn’t just about achievement; it’s also about fostering a supportive environment where everyone feels valued.

Beth – Celebrate uniqueness

Beth encourages us to celebrate our uniqueness and avoid comparing ourselves to others. “Comparison is the thief of joy,” she wisely notes. Embracing diversity enriches our lives in countless ways.

Lauren – Believe in yourself

“Embrace your individuality and believe in yourself. By being true to yourself, you inspire others to do the same.” It’s a reminder that inclusivity begins with accepting and celebrating our differences, setting an example for others to follow.

Ruby – Trust your instincts

Ruby reminds us: “Being you is your power and no one else gets to do that. Trust you have the answers, and you’ll always succeed.” Her words highlight the importance of self-trust and authenticity in navigating life’s journey.

Laura – Embrace authenticity

Laura urges us to embrace authenticity and trust yourself. “Leave your comfort zone, trust your instinct, and don’t let anyone ruin your sparkle,” she advises. Inclusivity thrives when we’re true to ourselves and support others in doing the same.

Al – Speak up

Al reminds us to actively stand up for those around you and promote inclusion. “Challenge prejudice, pass it on,” he advises. Inclusivity requires us to speak up against discrimination and support one another.

Ryan – Empower others to dream big

Ry encourages us to empower others. “Empower others to dream big and aim high,” he says. It’s about breaking barriers and ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed, regardless of background or identity. And a secondary note to himself… “invest in Amazon in 1997!”.

Trish – Be kind to yourself

Trish shares a heartfelt piece of advice: “Be kind to yourself and don’t compare your journey to others; everyone’s path is unique.” It’s a gentle reminder to practice self-compassion and embrace our individual journeys without comparison.

Polly – Break boundaries

Polly, our MD, advocates for self-belief and courage. “Believe in yourself, speak up, push your boundaries, and don’t be intimated in male-dominated environments.” Her words underscore the significance of self-assurance and perseverance, encouraging us to stand tall and promote inclusivity wherever we go.

Paul – Life is strange, be stranger

Our founder Paul says: “Don’t suffer fools or their allies. Be true to yourself and remember to have fun. Life is strange – be stranger.” After over 40 years in the business, Paul’s no stranger to overcoming challenges and inspiring a fully inclusive workplace.

Daisy – Advocating compassion

“Always act with kindness and inclusion, and stick up for what you believe in.” In a world where differences can sometimes divide us, Daisy’s words emphasise the importance of compassion, and backing yourself.

Louis – Everyone’s a winner

Louis shares a simple yet profound truth: “When everyone is included, everybody wins.” His words reflect the positive impact of inclusivity, showcasing how embracing diversity leads to shared success and collective growth.

Jo – Don’t be afraid to fall

Jo emphasises the importance of being open to new experiences: “Life has its challenges, but being open to new experiences ensures you never stop learning or growing.” Today, Jo is an example of this for the whole team and the important people in her life.

From navigating career challenges to overcoming self-doubt, our advice reflects the lessons we’ve learned and the barriers we’ve broken. By inspiring inclusivity through our stories, we hope to empower the next generation to dream big, take risks, and never give up on their ambitions.
