Getting creative with internal communications

Revolutionising the way APD talks to colleagues

As one of the leading marketing agencies in Yorkshire, we’re not afraid to do things differently – or even
kick-start a revolution.

We came up with a whole new way for APD Communications to talk to its colleagues, based around the company’s ‘Road to Success’ initiative as part of an internal communications strategy. Take a look at the work we completed here.

Thinking inside the box

In collaboration with APD’s creative team, we designed personalised boxes for company colleagues. Containing branded mugs, coasters, mousemats and pens, plus documents setting out APD’s long-term goals, the boxes ensured staff understood where the company is going and feel part of that journey.

Continued communication

Taking that messaging to the next level, we then developed a new-look internal newsletter, keeping colleagues informed of the latest company news in a professional, yet informal way.

APD said…

“Sowdens’ creativity helped us find an innovative way of communicating the 2020 business plan with our colleagues in a fun and easy to digest format. We wanted to do something different that really launched the vision and helped everyone understand that their contribution was a part of the journey. The personalisation was a great touch and all new starters now receive a box on their first day to welcome them to the APD family.”
