6 Music Celebrates Great British Venues

Well after a bit of a tricky day yesterday (after receiving the news that Eagulls have pulled the Independent Venue Week gig), things feel like they’re back on track as Mark Morriss (Bluetones) stepped in to save the day.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Steve Lamacq who will be broadcasting his 6 Music show live from Hull today before visiting The Adelphi for a very special gig with Mark Morriss from the Bluetones.

It forms part of a tour for Independent Venue Week which celebrates independent venues across the UK. His show is coming live from a different part of the UK each day this week –

Monday – Glasgow The Hug & Pint
Tuesday – Hull The Adelphi
Wednesday – Stoke Sugarmill
Thursday – Southampton Joiners
Friday – Cardiff Clwb Ifor Bach

Steve’s Hull show will broadcast live today from 16.00 Listen live

Tickets for tonight’s Adelphi gig featuring Mark Morriss + Life + Phobophobes are £8 OTD.

Mark Morriss is a singer songwriter who famously made his name fronting English indie outfit The Bluetones. Mark fronted the four piece over a successful and fruitful 15 year period, scoring 14 top ten singles and 3 top ten albums, whilst touring the UK, Europe and Japan.

Support your local venue. Long live the Adelphi.
