Hull’s going Superfast

April 1st might be renowned for April Fools, but yesterday’s government announcement that Hull would join the Superfast Britain scheme was no joke.

It means that SMEs in the region can receive up to £3000 to connect to superfast broadband. This is obviously great news for the local economy and, coupled with KC’s recent announcement that they are doubling their roll-out of Lightstream gives a significant boost to Hull’s growing credentials as a digital hotspot (oh, not forgetting the epic C4DI development too…).

As huge advocates for the city, we’re pleased to hear another good news story which shows Hull’s recent renaissance with 2017, the premier league, a centre of connectivity and the UK’s leading green city positioning.

As a team we’re already benefitting from Lightstream here at Parkgate Studios, which makes a phenomenal difference to our productivity and speed at which we can work. Sending and downloading large image files now takes a matter of seconds, rather than minutes. And at 53 times faster than standard broadband, who wouldn’t want to be part of it?

Sowdens have been working with KC Business to plan and deliver a multi-channelled marketing strategy bringing their superfast supercity message to life.
